6:30 am Me and Bridger throwing rocks in the river helping him enjoy the morning and not be a grump. He woke up a little early.

Dad's candid shot of us by the river

We went to a meadow during one of our trail rides and we hung out there for about 45 minutes. We laid around enjoying the spring mountain air, in the shade. It was getting hot. The boys were going around and picking dandelion bouquets and blowing wishes on the wish making dandelions. WE had a lot of fun in that meadow...it was Beautiful.

Our Campsite :)

This was such a fun trip. We rode out from our house and it is about 13 miles back in the woods but WELL worth it. It was so Beautiful! Family, this would be such an awesome spot to go camping and four wheeling. The trails and campsite are GREAT! I woke up in the morning and walked out to the creek and started doing stretches. It was so Beautiful. I told Joseph, "A setting like this and a nice big comfortable yurt and life would be great. Waking up every day to see that." It was so Beautiful and the 2 rivers, Rapid and Kennelly were totally overflowing there banks and the river was flowing really fast too. We saw lots of deer, 1 elk, 1 toad, a few frogs, ground squirrels, spiders, Beautiful rapids, Bear fur on a tree, and great trails. Our first ride in the morning lined the creek the whole way. There were a few difficult spots but they were so breathtakingly beautiful and Fun!

Fun with extended Family

Family

Uncle Steven, Addison and Cousin Matt

It has been great to have family here from Joseph's side. It has put my entertaining and motherly skills to the test. I have been able to keep up on the dishes and keep the house cleaned while 3 more kids and 2 more men have been in the house. And I babysat 2 more kids yesterday too. So that is a total of 7 kids and 3 men and 1 woman. So I have been a little proud of myself for being able to do as well as I have and not be stressed out. It has been good to get to know some of Joseph's relatives better. We stayed up on Wednesday night till midnight talking with Matt about his life and adventures in Iraq and then Steven came yesterday on his motorcycle and we talked with him till 12:30. I really like Uncle Steven. He's a good man. :) Good Times here on the Jones Ranch

What I have been up to lately

My Friend Holly is a photographer and has her own photography business called Aero Photography. She lives down in the Nampa area. I did some art work on some of her photographs and thought I would share them with you since that is something I have been up to lately. She is a great photographer.

With signs and a gate

Without those things

With the wire around the tree

With out the wire and I put in a vignette (I just make the picture pop a little more)

With the wire and a harsh shadow on her neck

With out the wire and harsh shadow

If any of you want artwork done on your photographs I usually charge $5 per photo and more if there is a lot of correction to do. The more photos you give me to work on the bigger the discount. If you are interested I will give you an accurate quote for your photos.

Working on a firepit

My dad gave me some extra cobble stones they had at the cabin and I am going to try to make a fire pit with it. The location isn't quite sure yet but I hope to figure that out and get that done for BBQ and roasting mallows season :)

Bulletin board into art

I took a bulletin board and cut out my old jeans and stuck them on there with Homemade glue. It is so easy. I am going to add colorful ribbon to the jeans and make white fabric "mattes" and then add photos all over it and then put white molding around the bulletin board. It will be our family picture bulletin board and I can always change out the pictures. So that is my little project I did last week now i just need to finish it. :) here is how you make the glue.

this is out of http://ecochildsplay.com/2009/02/26/homemade-glue-for-kids-crafts/

All-Natural Homemade Glue is a simple recipe to do along with your children that can keep for weeks in the fridge. My girls enjoy using it for all of their weekly art projects and I don’t get worried if my baby takes a taste or two! You simply mix 1 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 cups of water (you might need a bit more or less) and 1 tsp of vinegar. Then you warm it up on the stove till it thickens a little bit, let is cool and it is ready to use.
Anyway it worked great and you can use it in any art project. It sticks just as good as elmers, I am not kidding and with stuff you have around the house.

My boys

Sunday afternoon we were out in the yard enjoying the sunshine and Bridger was sitting by the hill and Gideon decided to join him so i got my camera. I love pictures like this. So Cute! I love photo journalistic photographs where the subject is doing something else besides looking at the camera and doing a cheeser. I think it catches the real person in the photo. :)

Four wheeling in the Owyhees

My brother Clint and Joseph and I went motorcycling From Hemmingway up into the mountains. It was so fun, Thanks to My mom, I was able to go with out the kids. It was fun to go riding. We had a good ride and a good section of hill climbs and Beautiful views. On the way back Clint's 4 wheeler was acting up and stalled on him so he jumped on with me and he drove back to the trailer to get a tow rope and it was CRAZY. He was going just as fast as he would with just himself. There are no leisurly trails around there either. Mogules, sharp turns, rocks, stream beds and hills. We were averaging 38 mph the whole way too. I was pretty relieved to get to the trailer. Clint's an Awesome driver and we got there in one peice and my biceps got there work out trying to hold onto him. We saw a young rattlesnake who didn't like us being too close to him. We didn't mind though, we didn't care to get to near to him either. We saw some Fed guys looking for Mormon Crickets and we didn't see any till we got higher up in the hills. I saw a total of 3. Wow! And they are paying guys to hang out and look for them...I guess that is understandable. Well all in all it was a great day and we had so much fun. It was nice to hang out with my brother too. That doesn't happen very often. He is probably going to be heading down to St. George sometime or another. he is looking for a job online there now.

The Jones Round Up

I hope each of you are having a good week! Love all of ya~ Camille
