Happy Memorial Day!
We went to Luxemburg to go and see the American Cemetary and Memorial there for those who died in the war in that area during 1941-1945. There are 6 of these cemetaries in this part of the Rhineland area which is part of France, Luxemburg and Belgium. Battle of the bulge was amongst one of the many battles fought against Nazi Germany to help keep the freedoms of so many. It was a somber experience being there and reading up on what happened. So sad. Let freedom ring brings on a whole new meaning.

There were Luxemburg and American flags along with a rose on every grave sight. The memorial is 50.5 acres. 5,076 headstones. 4,958 were Latin crosses, 118 stars of David, 371 missing in action, 101 unknowns, 22 sets of Brothers.......Words cannot express.
