Wittlich

Verbundkrakenhaus
Here is a picture of the Hospital that Arya was born in.  I stayed in the top floor furthest window to the Left.

I just can't get enough pictures of this girl :)  Love her!

My parents and I  (along with Arya of course) went shopping and walking around Wittlich
Here you see a pig.  It is legend here that there was a castle wall to defend the city at one time and the gates were protected by knights men and one night the gates were broken and there were enemies outside trying to get in.  Well they took carrots and stuffed them into the locks to keep it closed.  It was working until in the middle of the night some pigs came and ate all the carrots leaving the gates open to the enemies who then took over the city.  So here in Wittlich they have what is called pig fest.  They roast every pig in sight and have a good ole' party eating Pork because they were the cause of the take over by the enemy.

Tex Mex in Germany....I am sure it is nothing like in the states :)

A pretty walk we took just outside the city limits along the vineyards and forest right before sunset.  It was BEAUTIFUL!

I love FALL colors

Arya's baby blessing

On the 21st of October, Grandma Jarvis' Birthday, Arya was given a name and blessing by her father and grandfather and Bishop Stewart and his 1st counselor, Brother Miller.  It was a beautiful blessing.  Even though she was crying through the whole thing :) We had a broadcast that day of a conference in Frankfurt where the prophet, President Thomas S. Monson spoke to us.  So after the broadcast we went into the bishop's office and gave her a blessing.  She was Beautiful in her dress!!!
This is Arya in her fall dress she wore to church

Neuschwanstein

We drove through Austria for a little bit and this is a picture to prove it :)

This tunnel must be for avalanches or something.

Pretty Pretty!

A little gorge and dam we stopped by on the way

There was this cool crane thing on a track that pulled logs and debris out of the water.  I love the color of the water.  So serene and Beautiful.  THere was a lake we passed near this that I didn't get a picture of but it was like emerald water.  So amazing!

Neuschwanstein Castle
It is under renovation so it is pretty well covered in Scaffolding and cloth but still really pretty

You can see the Gondola that goes up the side of the mountain.  That is where we went

The Gondola ride!

The boys are not excited at all :)

We were excited to find a gondola ride down in the Alps that didn't cost a fortune.  We were glad we stopped.  It was Breathtaking at the top and fun to ride.

Out Exploring

While we were out hiking I forgot that I hurt my knee in the spring and I have no ACL to keep things in line with my knee and right here is where I tweaked it and the bones grinded together for a moment.  It was short lived but I blacked out for a minute from the pain.  Weird but at least I can still walk fine :)

The Alps were incredible and I would love to go again before we leave Germany in less than a year now.  It was well worth the trip.  It was a wonderful road trip with family and loved ones.  Enjoyed Every minute!!
