On Saturday Morning we set out to find some wildflowers on our way to the Veterans Cemetery in Eagle and found quite a few. They were fun to pick with my niece Abi. We got to the cemetery and set the flowers by the grave side and while we waited for the rest of the crew to get there we went up to the look out point and saw the view.
I love memorial day weekend and all the flags!
This is right where Joseph and I decided to join the military. We came to this spot where Gideon is standing and talked and prayed if the choice was right for us and a feeling of peace came over us over 6 years ago. Good memories and we are grateful we did it and received the experiences we have been blessed to have.
Visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa Jones' graveside and put some very yummy smelling flowers on their grave.

The tradition in the Jarvis family is that we all sit around the grave and share things about the person who has passed on then we share our own memories of them and then we stand, hold hands and sing families can be together forever. I haven't been able to do this with family since 2010 so it was very nice to be together with them on memorial weekend
At the park with family afterward
