More fun art work

My friend Holly is an amazing photographer and I have had the privilege of being able to enhance her photos. This is one of my favorites of hers so far and she asked me to make it black and white and keep the feathers and her eyes in color. I just love it. I enhanced her eye color a bit to make them POP. Good Job Holly and Bring on the photos everyone because I am really starting to enjoy doing this.

The 4th of July weekend

Our 4th of July weekend was a fun one. Friday Joseph was raking the windrows of cut hay just down the road and I was home hanging out with my napping boys and decided with the free time I had to cut my hair. I was so excited in doing it too. No tears and no remorse for that hair I was glad to see it go. I stated out with just grabbing it and cutting it right below the length I wanted, then I went back and worked on the details of layering and making it into the style I wanted. It was rejuvenating. It felt so light and I really liked it too. So we told and Joseph he had a surprise waiting for him at home. It was a success!! My husband enjoyed his surprise of my new haircut. He said it looked cute. Cute is a success in Joseph terms ;) So then we did chores and had some family's come into town, 2 of Joseph's siblings (the Jorgenson's and the Nash's) We hung out with them for the rest of the evening having a good time by the camp fire back at the lake.
Saturday early morning Joseph bailed hay and came home for a little shut eye before he headed to the church at 6:30 to set up for our wards 4th of July breakfast. It was all set up except for one table. So my hubby was a little out of it on Saturday :) So we went to the breakfast and got a hayride from Frank Bruneel and his tractor and trailer of hay. The boys enjoyed that. From there we went to Cascade for their Parade and they had a fly over of some Jets that I couldn't tell you what they were. Maybe after we go into the military I will familiarize my self with such things. The boys liked the loud fast airplanes that flew over. We got lots of candy and danced to some drums and Gideon even got to play one of the drums. It was fun and I think if I am ever up here when it happens again (going into Military) the parade is a good way to bring in the patriotic spirit of the holiday.
We came home had lunch and crashed for a few hours...well the boys did and I did some primary stuff and then watched a movie. After that we did a few things around the house and chores and then went back to the lake for some social time with family and then went to fireworks on Cascade Lake. We went up a road that was right before town and parked on it and walked a 1/4 mile and went to crown point state park and watched the fireworks. We had a good view and some "kinda" funny intoxicated families in front of us. The show wasn't that short but you could tell there were budget cuts this year. all in all it was fun and wonderful and the kids enjoyed them.
At church in the morning at 9 am there was well over 500 people in our ward and visiting. We had to sit on the stand. Fast and Testimony meeting was good. We had a newly baptized member come up and bare his testimony with one of the elders as a translator. It was a very moving testimony with a bit of humor. It was nice to hear his Testimony for the first time.
Today has been a good day. Just relaxing and taking it easy this afternoon and with family headed back to their homes. It was fun to have the Jorgenson's stay with us too. So that is our weekend in a nutshell and I hope to go swimming with the boys this next week. I hope all of you had a great 4th.
