Tea Party Protests

We got pretty good coverage on Fox news and Glenn Beck's shows today. I really hope all the demonstrators that took the time to voice their opinions helped at the capital today. I for one want to have a government that allows the people to govern themselves. I pray that things will look a little brighter in the tunnel. We are in for a freak show ride if not. I have never listened to Glenn Beck and just started to in this last month and see great reasons why people like him so much. He helps you remember why you are an American and what we stand for and what we need to o to get rid of bad corrupted politics at the head of the capital. I hope we can Gain that Freedom back that this country deserves.

One of my little projects

Wood carving and burning!!! I have been starting to get into my crafty mood again. It must mean that Fall is fast approaching. I got a few cabinet doors from friends that worked for a cabinet maker that were extras that they were just going to throw away. So I decided to do something with them. I was going to put hooks on the bottom of the Family one with the names of our family members but I like Ribbon a lot better. My sister Rachel gave me the idea to drape ribbon from the Family one. The other one is one I am going to start today. I will carve out the letters and then wood burn it. It is the Title of Liberty. I am excited to have that on display in our home. So these will be fun to do~ I dunno, maybe these or some like these would be good Christmas Gifts :)

BMT and motorcycles

There is not much to report on this week. Joseph had an hour meeting with Air Force this week doing drills like about face, attention, etc... and had a few Q&A. It's funny to watch Joseph try and keep his balance when he does the turns. We are learning as much as we can on memorizing all of the things for Basic and preparing our selves mentally and Physically. I go in on Monday around noon to a Jury selection and see if I will be a juror for the next 2 weeks. We'll see :)

Last night I was needing to get out and Joseph told me to get lost on my motorcycle. OH it felt so good!!! I haven't just gone riding on my own like that for a while. I went for about 45 minutes. It was great. I went back on a trail by Stover meadow and went down by Jughandel Estates and then broke trail for about 10 minutes and decided I better get back on the regular trail. I really didn't feel like getting something broke yesterday...I haven't been riding for a while. :) It felt so good so I will take advantage of that time I have till Joseph leaves to get away on my own like that. When Bridger is on the motorcycle he gets so excited and holds the handlebars and yells and laughs and goes vroom vroom. He loves going on rides around the house.
Today I am just trying to get caught up on my household responsibilities. I hope to do something fun later on today. We shall see ;)

The Inspired Gideon

On the way home from Boise Gideon said he wanted to watch a movie and I said We don't have a movie but he could pretend to watch one. He thought about it for a few minutes and then started describing his Dinosaur movie then he said the bad dinosaurs were coming and were scary (the T-rex's) He then said something that was enlightening, "I will just push the good button and they will go away" Joseph and I giggled and thought that was so cute and good. Wouldn't that be nice to just push a "good button" and have the scary things in life go away and have good nice feelings there :) I thought that was pretty good of Gideon. :)

The happenings this week

So Monday evening we had a "preparing for winter" lesson and went out and cut a tree down, dragged it home, cut it up, split it and stacked it. I did the lovely job of driving the tractor and stacking. The boys enjoyed going back to the lake and hearing daddy say TIMBER!!! and then see'n the tree come crashing down.
I got a package in the mail yesterday wondering what in the world would come to me from Valley county Courthouse and I opened it and it was my wallet I lost back in May. They found it in the DMV. The only thing I can think of is I forgot it there when I was registering some vehicles for Clover Ridge Ranch. It had everything in it. I was so surprised. So that was nice!!
The boys have been so fascinated with living creatures around here. This morning in their little digging hole of dirt by the front porch Bridger Found a toad. He gets this look on his face that is so priceless of OH OH wide eyes and so excited. So we grabbed it gently and put it in the back yard where it was shady and cool. I let Gideon hold it and he liked it and then I let Bridger hold it and it grossed him out and scared him. Just imagine a face with those two expressions and that was him. It was funny. Not funny it scared him, just funny :)
Anyway, I have worked out twice with my friend this week and it has felt really good and I hope to start working out on my own on the days we aren't together. I love feeling sore for good reasons. :)
The boys and I went to the beach (Mill park) in McCall and just played on the swings and slides and took a walk and then ended with them laying in the water adn playing in the sand (fully clothed may I add) It was fun. It was a beautiful evening too~
