Gideon was so strong he broke right through the huge log...Super powers are amazing :)

We climbed up and over all of these huge boulders. It was fun to see and feel the mist from the falls.

Where are the Lion's boys? Do you see them out there in the meadow....?

Playing in the meadow :)

You just keep looking up and up and up till you finally see the top. AMAZING formations from Glaciers in this park. It was incredible!

Vernal Falls. We didn't go all the way up. We were too tired on getting that far :)

Bridger fell asleep on the hike up towards Vernal falls in my sling. Grandpa was giving me a break and letting him rest on him. So cute!

Gideon getting nervous...he's afraid of heights and was pretty amazed at this height

Looking down over 3,000 feet straight down a sheer cliff

It was MAJESTIC!!

Saturday....
We stayed at Forks Campground near Oakhurst California on Thursday and Friday night and headed out on Saturday to San Francisco!~
This is our daily ritual of packing up the truck :) We got good!

Verlene and Uncle Bob
who live in Mountain View California near San Francisco; We were leaving Yosemite Saturday and spontaneously decided to go an extra day and go see my Dad's sister Verlene. I haven't seen them in probably over a decade. My childhood memories were of my uncle Bob running up to me and grabbing me and tossing me into the air. He was always so excited to see us. Verlene was a lot like my Grandma Edna. I even thought of her when I walked into her house. it was decorated like my Grandma had things. It was really good to see them. Me Clint, Gideon and Bridger played at a park Saturday afternoon across the street from their house while my parents visited with them. :)

On our way to half moon bay it was sunny and warm and right before we got to the ridge line that we go over to get to the coast was this tidal wave of a cloud. It was like the movie 2012 where the wave is going over the mountain. It totally looked like this and it was rolling and the mist was falling down to the other side of the hill. It was pretty awesome. My brother's camera got a pretty good shot of this that I will post later. Fun Fun! We stayed at half moon bay saturday night

Sunday....

Ta Da!!! We are at the OCEAN!

Surfers out in the water!

Clint and I spent saturday night sitting on the beach talking after I got the boys down for the night. The light polution was pretty bright that we actually could see farely well but you looked toward the ocean and it was pitch black. Kinda freaky looking. I was glad to be on the beach and not out on a boat in the darkness. :)

SAN FRANCISCO!!
Golden Gate Bridge....Yes that is as close as I got :) Another time we will spend more time there.

I spent Saturday and Sunday driving with my brother. This is his green truck in this picture. Gideon joined us for saturday's drive. it was a lot of fun catching up with him and playing. Love ya Bro!!

Eating at Fisherman's Wharf

We stayed in Winnemucca Sunday night and then came the rest of the way on Monday. It feels good to be home! :)

Roadtrip!~

We have been preparing to go on a Road trip to California this next week with my parents down to Tahoe and Yosemite. My brother Clint is going to meet us there. I am so excited to see him and PLAY!! So I have been looking for good Road trip ideas and found a lot of great fun things to do They are as follows!!

Make tickets and pass them out for every 30-50 miles so that the kids get one every so often and they know how many more tickets they have left till they get there.

Make Gift bags: So every 50 miles or less depending you pass a new one out with a new activity.

Make sack puppets: so in the bag you would have ribbon, paper, markers, tape, and a paper sack and make puppets

Sewing cards: Cut out shapes out of card board and paint what you will then hole punch and get yarn and tape the end and SEW

Get magnet sheets you can put through your printer and print out a game and stick it to a cookie sheet

Color on black paper with chalk to mix things up a bit

Aluminum Foil roll: make hats, dolls, bracelets whatever you want with tin foil

Car bingo: Make bingo cards for things you would see on a road trip such as different areas would have different things such as a desert would have cactus's or mountains would have streams, deer, mountains, pine trees and so on

Pipe cleaners: make all sorts of things with these

And MOVIES of course. i will be reading the Screwtape letters, Artemis Fowl and the giver

We are looking forward to the road trip and hopefully every thing goes all right. Wish us luck!! :)

Kuna Days

So we went to Kuna days today and went to a parade that lasted a really long time and got a lot of candy and got pretty wet. The last people in the parade are the fire dept and they had a couple of firemen on top of the truck totally hosing down everyone with water. It felt really good. There was even this guy in his yard that had a garden hose and was having a water fight with the fireman. I think he lost. It was really fun and it was nice to change things up a bit.

Gideon's present to Bridger

So yesterday during nap time Gideon says to me "Mom I want to make Bridger a present" and I said "what do you want to make him?" He thought about it and with some ideas from me we ended up with an envelope to put the present in which was a letter. He told me what to write on a piece of paper and then he looked at it and copied it. I helped him with the word you because it takes a lot of work to write all of that so then he stuffed it into the envelope and drew a "castle" on the outside of it. Then he walks over to the bedroom door (which is closed because it is nap time) and slips the envelope under the door and then gets all excited about him finding it when he wakes up. SO CUTE! I had to share this precious moment where Gideon wanted to do something special for his brother. He is such a great boy. Good Job Gideon!!
