Metterich hike

We went bush wakk'n in the woods to explore the ruins of what used to be the ruins of a castle or some kind of wall with a drainage system on the bottom.  I really have no idea what it is and couldn't read the sign in German.  I will have to go back and translate it.  It was pretty cool though.
We crossed the creek.....and I got stung by stinging nettle on my way.  It is Everywhere here...EVERYWHERE!!  and it really hurts.  The skin swells up and burns and itches.  Bridger ran through a whole batch of it the other day with shorts and his shins were covered in burning welts.

By one of the tunnels on the bottom of this wall

The date of 1906 on the wall

Ivy vines....Beautiful!

That is a THICK wall

moss growing on the upper part of the wall

A bumble bee that let us watch him.  Bridger was fascinated

My boys are truely the sweetest boys ever.  Anytime we are outside they are always finding me flowers to put in my hair and make me smile.  They are so sweet!

Bridger pulled and pulled and got me a whole plant. :)

Walking on the trail

Love you boys!!

Being Silly

Friends and Projects

Our good friends the Lancaster's have moved away and we are really going to miss them.  That is something I am trying to get used to with the military.  You really need to meet lots of different people so you have lots of friends so that when one leaves you still have some one to hang out with :)

Bridger's Skeleton

I had a box that Gideon decided to make into a house.  He is so creative and when he gets working on something he'll spend all afternoon perfecting it and making it just the way he wants.  It is so cute!

Some fall decorations of mine.  I got this plant at the store for a few dollars.  I love it!

My Grandma Haskett painted these ceramics  I love them and it is nice to have a piece of her in my house

We call this our Humpty Dumpty Pumpkin  He fell off the wall and shattered and the knights of the Jones home put him back together again.  Gideon spent almost an hour matching up pieces and gluing them.
