The happenings of June post 1

Gideon enjoyed his first scout camp...actually this was his first scout thing he did.  With having a new baby we missed the activities in May and now it is summer and they only meet 1x per month.  He really enjoyed this 3 day Space camp at LCCC in Cheyenne (Laramie County Community college)
My little Space cadet

Me going through all my blankets and Arya enjoying laying in the box all snuggled up with them...can you hear her giggle in this picture :)

This is Max our neighbors dog that we watched for the day.  He is cute :)

Can you see the young geese in this picture.... Did you also know that Geese will loose all of their flight feathers (not all their feathers, just the ones they fly with) at the same time so there is a period of time in the summer where they cannot fly.  Now is one of those times and the boys have loved collecting their feathers.

Sibling love!

His First smile!!

Sweet little Angel

Baby bunnies under our hay out at the horse.  The kiddos love to find them and they even caught one the other day and were so gentle with it and petted it.  They are fun to watch.

So Arya was tired and I was yacking on the phone.  She grabbed an old binky I had in her play items that she hasn't used since she was 4 months old and came and sat in Orrins Car seat and fell asleep.  It was so cute and funny :)

Packing up teddy :)

Sporting her new clothes I got at the thrift store

Stormy Wyoming Weather

Beautiful cloud formations from the other day

While Joseph was out working in Nebraska he saw this tornado
(which is taken by some storm chaser in the area which I then copied off of the news)
Photo: Here is an image from @richthefarmer of the tornado that was south of Kimball, NE this afternoon.

So last night after i put kids to bed a storm hit and I was worried and scared because I couldn't see what was going on because it was dark and was worried that maybe there was a tornado with the thunderstorm, but luckily there was just lots of hale. Thank goodness this didn't hit at my house because I don't want golf ball size hail to ruin my car.  We got a ton of rain, ice chunks and wind...oh and lightning ever 2 seconds.but down near wally world they got a flash flood of hail.  Under every tree was shredded leaves.  In the flat areas there was at least a foot thick of hail and these pictures were taken 12 hours later.

that's not snow.....

big ice balls

It is about 75 degrees outside in this picture

Icebergs of hail

it looks like the water level got up to 4-6 feet

Today was a little different.  We were hanging out in the living room (Feeding Orrin in between packing) the base alarm went off for weather.  I step out of my front door to see if I could see anything and I saw a tornado above my neighbors house.  I was so excited I grabbed my camera and ran upstairs to find it was just a funnel cloud but my first one.  It drifted away after a few minutes but it was cool to experience and having it be so close was a bit thrilling.... a little too thrilling for Bridger.  He started crying because he was scared.  So now I have seen an official funnel cloud.
Us out and about watching the sky after the tornado...almost touched down :)
