Life and Living....

The boys created the coolest card board house.  It had a garage and rooms and a cool roof where they could reach in and play with their animals.  They are both so creative.  I love it!!

We had a blizzard and it was so fun to have a good snow fall all at once.  I love the snow!

Gideon lost his 6th tooth
So he got an extra Euro cause I was nice.
Just after he wrote this he asked us the truth about the tooth fairy, so we told him about the tooth fairy and Santa and anyone else that we are.  Joseph told him if you want to know the truth about something I will tell you it.  So now he gets to be the keeper of that secret and help us with the fun of the Magic it creates with the other kids.

January has come and gone..  Here is a rundown of what all has been going down in the Jones home.

I am sick of crutches.... end of story :)

We started reading the Chronicles of Narnia together as a family.  We just finished the Magicians nephew and will start the Lion, witch and wardrobe tomorrow.  The boys love it.

Arya started eating baby food at around 3 months and now eats wheat and rice cereal and anything else fruit or veggies pureed.  She gets so excited when she see's a spoon now.  So cute.  She is stronger too.  She loves sitting up against something and will hold herself there really well.

Joseph went to his first stake conference with us today while here in Germany.  It was so nice to be able to go all together.

I have good friends who bless me with their time and yummy dinners and helping hands to help me around the house.  That has been so nice.

I love the Lord.  I was praying last night and was struggling with something and decided to open up my scriptures and look through the scriptures to help me.  My answer came through Ephesians chapter 6.  I loved the verses 6-8.
That was my answer with what I was struggling with.  I love it when we pray and are seeking help, the Lord is so willing and loves us and wants to help us.  It was through His words that I got my answer.  I am so grateful for the knowledge of a father in Heaven and for the knowledge that I am His Daughter.

Bridger loves Pre-school with his friends Brock, Alyssa, London, Sadie and Daxlee.  We have it 2 times a week and he can't wait for that day.  He loves being with his friends.  I love my Bridger boy.  He loves to hold his baby sister and make her smile and laugh.

Gideon has been doing really well in school.  He got his first report card and is doing really well in math and reading.  He has the highest reading level in his class right now and loves to read.  his goal is to have 100 chapter books read by the end of this year.  Go Gideon!!

I have been impressed with changing a few things around are home that deal with how I am parenting my children and how to raise them and to change myself.  I hope I can follow the spirit on this one.  I feel it is really important.  So more on this to come as I come to understand it more.

I love setting goals.  I am working on writing my weekly goals and how I am going to accomplish them.  I feel like simplifying, renewing and serving more and trying to figure out how to do that and setting goals in place to get me there.   I also love to dream with my hubby and love to play around with planning how we would lay out our ranch someday and what we would do to financially provide for us.

All in all life is good.  The hard days come but the good days help them to pass a little easier.  Hope you all have a good February!

Got my 2nd MRI today...

So the news is that i have some pretty severe damage to my knee.
My femur and Tibia bones have some really bad bone bruising in them.  From the MRI images the whole bottom and top of my bones are bruised.

(A bone bruise results from compressive forces incurred during an injury. The damaged area occurs in the medullary portion of the bone and can be accompanied by  bleeding and swelling.)
(Bruises are often caused by falls, sports injuries, car accidents, or blows from other people or objects. Bruises can last from days to months, with the bone bruise being the most severe and painful.)

Bone bruise

So what does that mean for me..... Well the doctor today streessed that I stay off of my leg and not use it for about 5 weeks.  I had to come home and do my research to understand why.  So if a bone bruise doesn't heal or doesn't heal properly then it can cause bone fractures or a permanent limp or disability.  So here is to me getting creative of how to stay off of my knee for the next month or so.
what is hard about this is that my leg is starting to feel better.  It has been 3 weeks since my initial injury and I can bear weight without pain.  So that will make it even harder to stay off of.

So that is what is wrong with the bones.  I also have two major tears in my miniscus and a partial tear of my Medial ligament along with the already tron ACL and PCL.  So when my surgery does come along there will be a lot of work to be done.

So to tell the truth I feel a bit down today not knowing how to do all of this.  But I do know with prayer the answers come and there are people out there willing to serve and help but I need to humble myself first to allow that to be.  It would be easier to be close to home and have my parents or a brother or sister help out and I would be able to do that without going out of my comfort zone but I feel that may be one of the reasons I am where I am.  I need to rely on others and humble my independant soul and allow others to be able to serve.  That is easier said then done.

So for any of my friends out there who might read my blog if you could pray that I will be able to stay off of my leg and be willing to do so, so my bone bruises can heal properly and also help me to be able to ask for the help that I need.

Wish me luck, it aint going to be a walk in the park ;)

Word for 2013

Renew

restore, repair, mend, recondition, to make good, replenish, and revive

I think this is a great word for me this year.
I want to renew myself in my relationships with my Heavenly Father, with christ, with my husband, with my children, with family members, with old friends and with new friends.
I want to restore things that feel old and dust them off fix them and let them shine.
I want to repair things that are broken or that are hurt and suffering.
I want to mend.  I want recondition my injuries and become strong once again.
I want to make things good and hopefully better than they have been before.
I want to replenish things that are running low.
I want to revive my spirit and find Joy in my Journey.
I want to go to church on Sundays with purpose in my heart and renew covenants that I have made with my Father in Heaven.  Things will have more purpose when I do them.  I will simplify and focus on what matters most in this life.
So I will go forward and Renew.
Join me in my Journey.  What will your word be for 2013?!

Happy Anniversary!

Today I celebrate my 8th year Anniversary
I am so happy to be married to my Best Friend Joseph Jones.  He completes me.  He is the Father I envisioned he would be for our children and more.
I love how he plays with the boys and I love the quiet times of snuggles.
He is the friend that will never leave my side and is always there for me.  I look forward to making the next 8 years some of our best yet.  I want to make him happy and everyday I will strive to do just that.

I love you Joseph and I am so grateful I made the choice to be with YOU for the rest of my life on Earth and forever in the Eternities....Thanks for choosing me too.
Here is to the next 8 being better than the last.  Love you Babe!!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

So for our Anniversary we went out to lunch at Nicks Diner in Herforst.  It was nice that a new couple in our ward took our kids for a few hours to allow us time to talk with out being interrupted.  I loved it.  Then my visiting teacher gave us some sparkling apple juice to help us toast to the next 8 years.  It has been a wonderful Anniversary.  Thanks to our friends who have helped make it that much better when I am a little unable to make it the best.  Joseph has been such a big help in the house and with the kids that it has eased my worries some.  He takes good care of me.

Here are some updated photos of my leg.  My whole leg is bruised from my knee to my ankle now.  The top of the shin, side of my knee and my calf muscle are where most of the pain is.  I believe I tore my medial ligament on the side of my knee and maybe fractured my Tibia or a really bad bone bruise.  Time will only tell what is really wrong.  It hurts though and it is hard to get around.  I am trying to stay off of it.  It felt like the pain was getting better till yesterday and now it hurts worse.  So if you want can you pray for my knee to get better and that my house doesn't go to pot in the mean time.  Thanks....I would appreciate it :)

So I re-injured my knee again.  I was playing at the park with the boys and jumped down off of a slide (not thinking about how I don't have an ACL connecting my bones) when I jumped down I felt everything collide and shift in my knee.  It was excruciatingly painful.  When Joseph was helping me up he even heard something (maybe a bone) shifting in my knee as well.  So I am on crutches again and opted out of getting it checked out on Christmas eve, instead I got an apt with an American doc the day after Christmas who gave the referral to my insurance who I met with today and it took 1 hour to set up an apt. with a German Doc to check me out on January 10th to see if Surgery is needed right away or not.   My knee is swollen still and quite bruised.  We shall see in time what the bad news is and till then I will put my baby in a front pack to go up and down the stairs (Joseph is on night shift and not home on some evenings) and try to stay off it and let my house become like a tornado alley.  Oh well, there is a time and a place for everything.  Right?!
It really was a wonderful Christmas though.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful beautiful family.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
