Life is a whirlwind

...right now it seems.  Getting ready to move and not knowing for sure where you will live till your there and while you look it seems nothing fits with our needs and desires and everything in between is a little more than I like when it comes to stress but there is a time and a season for everything so I hope we survive through the moving part of it and be able to find something that works in the future.

It is hard to find a time to write and update my blog with what we are doing and what we are doing is going crazy :)  but we will survive.  We long for Idaho and family and wish we were there now.  Maybe I just long for a break.. is a break too much to ask.  I carry on with a smile but deep (well maybe not too deep) I feel I will burst with emotion for the mixed feelings I feel right now.

Arya is growing up so much.  I wouldn't be surprised if she is walking soon.  She loves to explore and taste whatever she touches.  (Caution!! Gross alert) The other day she picked up dog poop and started eating it and the next day the boys came in and said Arya had something yellow in her mouth.  She was trying to chew up a slug, you know the big orange slimy ones....It was horrible!  The slime from them doesn't come off easily and she had her whole mouth caked with it as well as her hands.  It was almost too much for me.  I was a little freaking out.  I even called poison control and asked them if it could hurt her or not.  She is good now.  I hope she stops trying to eat everything she comes in contact with. :) The joys of being a mother right?!

Bridger is a tender heart creative boy.  He loves to play with his brother and the neighbor boys on the other side of the fence.  They could play all day with a fence in-between them and be content.  He brings down the dress ups of knights and pirates and gets Arya's rocking horse out and he is there in the ocean on a pirate ship or running down a bandit that stole from a princess (who would be Arya)  I love his imagination.  They will miss their neighbor buddies, Tristan, Gavin and Rylan.

Gideon loves to read.  He is in a contest with the library to see how many minutes he can read this summer.  He has just under a month left and he has already met the goal amount and seeks to double it.  He loves to play with his brother, ride the little trike because he can do cool tricks on it and his plasma car.
Both boys love to snuggle in blankets on the couch and hide under them.

Joseph has been covering shifts left and right for the last few weeks and looks forward to his regular schedule.  He also took a test for Staff Sergeant in May and we just got the results back.  Only 11,000 people make the cut (pass the test) out of 30,000.  And he made it!!!  Good Job Joseph!  You are so good at taking tests...and he only studied the day before the test.  So he will be promoted probably in the next 9 months or so.  So proud of you!!

I have been getting rid of stuff and organizing our things to get ready for the move.  I feel all I ever do right now is clean (blah) I look forward to not doing that all the time.....I really hope I don't have to wait to be an empty nester for that to happen :)  We enjoyed Eifel park again and went to the Wittlich swimming pool as a family and LOVED it.  I love swimming and I love Summer time.

Life is far from perfect and like today I feel like I am at my limit with my kids and just want a break, but we learn through those experiences to have more patience, show more love and serve others and that is how we can find joy in the chaos of life.  I chose this life and would never go back.  I love my life and the 3 little ones I call mine and for a loving husband who calls me His, Forever and Always.  Life is good no matter how crazy it gets :)

Good days of July

The other night I brought our table out back and helped the boys create a fort with it and they slept out there that night.  well before sleepy time came they were parachuter's/superhero's running around the yard and jumping off the table.  So fun to be a kid!

Garbage bag parachute and all :)

Cute little Arya and her front 2 teeth

She has been eating blueberries....they are so yummy!

She loves to laugh!

So Monday morning rolls around and it is a special day because Joseph turned 30!
The boys and I got up and made a yummy breakfast and cards to share and took it up to our bedroom where we burst through the door snging happy Birthday and waking daddy up.  it was GREAT!
Can you notice joseph's present hass a whole bunch of Suckers on it....30 to be exact and we wrote..."30 Sucks!"  The boys thought that was so funny... :)
So then we had a picnic in bed...  THe boys loved it.

We had confetti, hats and noise makers to make the party more exciting!

Happy Birthday Daddy!  We love you!!

On a side note.....it has not rained at all this whole month.  That is really unusual for here and it has been in the 80-90's.  With no AC anywhere in Germany except your car and no irrigation, the grass and we are burning up :P    It is different and I am missing the rain now :)
Arya is walking everywhere (with assistance) and loves to pull her self up on to things.  She loves the stairs and following the boys around.  She likes hanging out with them in our yard while she goes around eating handfuls of potting soil and any other plants she can get a hold of.  She loves getting dirty....Maybe she will make a good farm girl after all :)  the boys are growing up a lot.  they are good boys and I sure love them.  We are so excited to move!  We are ready and we fly into the states on September 3rd.  We long for Idaho an family.  See you all soon!

Mosel river bike ride

 Pro's:
We went with some friends of ours on a mother and kiddo bike ride today.  It was Ashley Olsen and her 3 girls, Sadie, London and Allie.  Then we had Sabrina Atwood and her 4 kiddos, Gage, Molli, Daxlee and Pippa.  Then of course myself and my 3 kiddos.  Gideon rode his bike and I pulled the trailer with Arya and Bridger in it.  This is Our bike route today.  We went 10 1/2 miles total. (even though that 10 1/2 miles took us 4 hours, we took our sweet time...meaning kiddos bike chains unraveling :) ) Wow!  For Gideon's first official bike ride that was a long one and me who hasn't gone on a bike ride for like ummmm 10 years.  no joke, it has been like 10 years and my first good cardio since surgery.  It felt great! :)    I LOVED it and plan on doing more of it soon.
Con's
Gideon's bike chain kept slipping on the way back like every 5 minutes so after a while of repairs I finally let him ride in the back of the trailer with the bicycle laying on top of the trailer.  ha ha!!  Yeah, you can just picture it.  it was pretty comical....I got smiles from all the passerby's.  It sure was a bit of work too.  It was fun non the less and I'm glad I did it.  It is empowering to accomplish that.....even as little of a feat that it is, it was a big one for me.

I don't have pictures but if my friends send me their pics I will post them here.  Good times today were had by all.

Happy Fourth of July!!!

A side note to start on is that we got our official orders this week so it is official, we are out of here in 8 weeks!!  Holla!  We are coming home to the US!!!  Woot Woot!!

So anyway, back to the 4th celebrations!
THis is a picture of us in our neighborhood for a morning parade by the fire dept and Security Forces and Scouts.  The boys loved getting the candy.

Then me and the boys headed to the fun day here on base while Joseph put Arya down for a nap and avoided the crowds :)

The boys had a blast

They had their first ride on the Swings and LOVED it!

All Smiles!

Weeeee!

That evening we hosted a 4th of July Block party.  It was so fun and a ton of people from our ward showed up and a few neighbors.  I love party's.  I forgot I loved them so much!
This is the Baumgartens and Sarah Weyland in this picture.  Emi is a Young woman in our ward who is the Baby Queen.  Arya and the boys like her a lot.  I got her to babysit Saturday night......This was my first time hiring a babysitter for an evening while here in Germany.  I usually switch off with another mom but this worked out nicely.

I love the fourth of July!  Next to Christmas it is one of my favorite holidays!

Watching her first fireworks....  She loves playing with her tounge and making lots of noises.

I love fireworks too!

We hope you had a good Fourth of July!
I am so grateful to have my family and friends here.  I love my country and the more I learn the more I want to stand up for my freedoms that I have been blessed with and fight for them.  I read about the title of Liberty in the Book of Mormon here and I want to do everything in my power to protect the freedoms I have for my family and my Country.
God Bless the USA!
