Our Family Outline 2009 "MY ETERNAL FAMILY"

This is kind of our families outline for this year. I am looking forward to it. There will be modifications most likely but at least we have a plan.
This years theme is My Eternal Family. My sister Rebecca sent me the whole years FHE (Family Home Evenings) that pertains to each of these themes. If you would like a copy of that FHE book I will send you the book through E-mail. It is really cool. We did our first one last night. Leave your e-mail in the comments and I will send it to you.


January
Song: I lived in Heaven
Theme: I am a spirit Child of Heavenly Father
1.) Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me
2.) I lived with Heavenly before I came to this earth
3.) I am created in the image of God. My body is a temple
4.) The family is ordained of God and is central to His plan
Family Activities – Sledding and snow shoeing

February Valentines Day

Theme: I came to earth as part of a family
1.) Adam and Eve were the first family
2.) Heavenly Father blesses righteous families in the scriptures
3.) The Priesthood blesses my family
4.) God’s creations bless us
Family Activities – Go out for Pie and Ice cream and go on a nature hike


March Camille’s Birthday

Theme: Family members have important responsibilities
1.) Father’s preside over, provide for, and protect the family with love
2.) Mother’s nurture the family

3.) My Family and I will be resurrected
4.) By following Jesus Christ, we will be able to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus again
Family Activities-Zoo and Green belt and visit the temple (family Pictures)

Theme: Baptism and confirmation are ordinances that bless my family
1.) Baptism is the first principal of the gospel
2.) Jesus Christ was baptized
3.) I will be baptized and confirmed
4.) My family is blessed as we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost
Family Activities- A trip to the font at the church so kids can see what baptism is all about

June

Theme: Faith, Prayer, repentance, and forgiveness strengthen me and my family
1.) Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ strengthens me and my family
2.) Prayer strengthens me and my family
3.) Repentance helps me return to heavenly Father

Family Activities- Hot springs! If not hot springs then YMCA, Beautify G&G yard

Family Activities- Family trip to Stanley. Backpacking into Sawtooth mountains

4.) Family history and temple work bless all the generations of my family
Family Activities- Do a temple trip to temple grounds and a fun outing to a play place or something (planet kid, a fun park) start gathering wood


September

Theme: Prophets teach me how to strengthen my family
1.) Bible prophets teach me how to strengthen my family
2.) Book of Mormon prophets teach me how to strengthen my family

4.) I will hear the words of the prophets when I listen to general conference
Family Activities- HARVEST!! Go to orchards and pick fruit, go pick blackberries. Teach work! Gather wood!

October General Conference and Halloween

November Thanksgiving

4.) I will prepare now to become a mother or father
Family Activities-Thanksgiving dinner, visit elderly home and do a service

December Christmas and our Anniversary

Theme: My family is blessed when we remember Jesus Christ
1.) Jesus was born into a family
2.) I remember Jesus when I partake of the sacrament
3.) Remembering Jesus helps me choose the right
4.) Jesus will come again
Family Activities- Go to SLC and tour temple square and see Christmas lights at the temple (big goal but it would be cool)
