I cut my hair today

I trimmed and layered my hair today. Now that it is the end of the day when my hair isn't really done anymore I'm not too sure about a picture. I like it and Joseph does too so that is good. It gave me the change that I wanted and I still have long hair.

Our Pigs

These are our pigs we moved up to the little petting Farm up next to our yard. Joseph unloaded them along the berm so they wouldn't have to jump out and he herded them right into their pen by the goats. We have them where we are going to put our garden. We thought it would be nice for them to till up the ground a little and add a little fertilizer to the soil as well and then we will add more top soil for the garden planting. Our biggest pig when we got her weighed 820 lbs. We have had her loose some since then and now have them on a grass hay and grain diet. They are all supposedly bred. I hope so. My horse should be foaling here any day. She looks like she is making up a little in the milking department so any day now. her due date was on Monday and they say they can have them up to 4 weeks after their due date as well so we shall see. I will keep you posted.

And the Cat chased Gideon

Giedeon was having so much fun having the Cat chase him around the yard. It finally turned into Gideon chasing the Cat. Good Times!!

Painting signs is done

I painted four of these and it took almost 3 days full on to finish them. From Priming to painting a couple coats of black then taping and doing the borders and tracing the lettering with a nale (carving it into the wood so I could see it) and then lacquering...It took a lot longer then I thought it would. But now they are done and they will be on display south of Donnelly and south of Lake Fork. I hope they are what they want because I am not doing it again anytime soon. It was fun though, painting that is. I haven't painted for a while and it felt good to do some art for a change. Now it is over and I am glad :)

His new swing!

Gideon had a good Birthday. He got a soccer ball and daddy built him a swing and he really enjoys it. It is crazy to think he is already a 3 year old. We sure love him. We had the cousins and our friends the Nelsons over for cupcakes and visiting. It was a good time to let the kids play and have fun.

Birthday Boy!

This is the swing that Joseph built for Gideon. It's fun and he seems to like it

This is him in the morning playing with his balloons there were all over the living room.

This is at the Picnic in Riggins that we went to. His Friend Sedona Nelson, who is our neighbor, then Gideon and another girl who was playing with them. They are so cute yelling. :)

Precious Kids

Our little cowboy. He had jam on his cheeks. He escaped the kitchen with it on and this picture was too irresistible to bother with that.

Yard clean up and what we have been doing

We have been raking up pine needles and picking up downed logs and cleaning up the yard lately. It feels good to see things become cleaner and more beautiful then what they were. It is really greening up around here and the lake and ponds are full of water too. It is exciting to know that summer is around the corner.
I am going to be painting wooden signs for the fire dept annual BBQ that they put up south of Donnelly and by Lake Fork. So that will be a fun project on Monday.
We are going to Riggins tomorrow for a spring outing with a whole bunch of people from the ward. It should be fun. WE enjoyed the sunshine today but it was still chilly.
Our chickens are laying more eggs lately. Yesterday we got 5 eggs and the day before we got seven. hopefully today will be a good number as well. Life is good on the ranch. We are getting excited for my horse to foal. She is suppose to be pregnant and due Monday. In the last week it is like you can see a little bit of change but if she is pregnant then she hides it well like those skinny long torso women who I admire that they are able to keep there weight off so easily. We have two other horses that are pregnant and are due in may and June and they definitely look a lot bigger than my horse. So we will keep you posted and let you know of any happenings in the future.
Bridger is starting to talk more lately. it is really cute when we have cows that get onto our lawn from the pasture and we have the dogs chase them off Bridger gets all into it. He gets this scowl on his face and starts yelling as well as a 1 year old can. And he scares those cows off. I really need to get it on video and post it.
Gideon can say the first four articles of faith with a little prompting. He loves singing songs and does a good job saying prayers with a little help here and there with it. He is Mr. independent and has enjoyed this week hanging out with his little neighbor friend Sedona and on Monday with Samuel and Ashton, his cousins who live down the hill. That are so cute together when they all are playing. Such different personalities. So that is what has been going on around here.
Life is Peachy and sweet!~ Take Care

Miracles Do Happen

We are so grateful for answered prayers and the willingness of others to help us to make it through another day. Thank you family so much for your prayers in our behalf. We feel so blessed and we feel energised awaiting a new day for new possibilities and a new outlook on our life ahead of us.
Keep the faith, press forward, focus on what can be done
instead of what has been done and love life! :)

It was really cute to have them all playing together. They even gave Bridger a lot of attention that he loved.

Beach Day in April

My Sister Rachel came up for a couple of days with my mom and our kids had a good time playing together. It was a lot of fun hanging out on the beach today despite the ice and snow, the sun was really warm and it felt really good to get some sun.

Bridger on the beach feeling the sand and loving it

Gideon enjoying Feeling the cold on his toes

Bridger after playing in the wet sand

Mitchell (Gideon's Cousin) and Gideon hanging out in the sun

They surrendered when I came after them with handfuls of sand.... Just Kidding :)

Billy our silly goat

Our laying hens

Joseph milking the goat

Our little Petting farm

This is our little petting Zoo. We have 7 laying hens that are not laying much right now and one annoying rooster that is probably going to go in the pot soon if you know what I mean. And our 2 goats Samba and Billy the kid. We also have 3 Sows that are hopefully bred so we just might have the potential to have 30 baby pigs in the next few months. We are having fun with the animals and love our little Billy, our young goat. If you bend over he'll jump onto your back and balance there. He has a really friendly personality.

My book review (twilight series)

Well I read around 2,106 pages, all four books plus a partial draft of Midnight sun (Edwards perspective) in just a week in a half. These books definetly keep you off your seat with interest. Yeah i think thats pretty crazy to read that much in that little time. Now i just need to read the things I need to read with that energy.

This book is definetly not for everyone. I really liked it but I like Fantasie mixed in with reality and I love stories with a bit of climatic thrill. I think there was a lot of moral values put into the book that give people more of a perspective on intimacy after marriage and how important that was to certain characters in the book. This is about vampires too and we all know what vampires do, but these vampires did all they could to do what was "right" to them and still survive as "vegetarians". I think there is a lot of meaing behind the lines and moral issues and I think people see that in the story.

I really liked the books, but there were parts in the third and fourth books that were a little more detailed in a history of violence so I just skimmed through that section and disliked the book at times not knowing how it was going to turn out...bad or good. It turned out great and happy so thats good.

I think I would definetly want my son or daughter to be a mature teenager before they were able to read this, that way they can decipher the feelings of the book and themselves better and understand it better with open communication with me. I don't think this book is appropriate for a younger audience. Like PG 13 I guess.

Overall I think it was fun to read and the suspence is great. It will be interesting to see how the movies turn out in the future.

SandHill Cranes

We have had Sandhill Cranes around here for the past month. It is a lot of fun to see them and to hear their call they make. They are really pretty birds and thought I would share them with you.
(Mom and Dad Jones. These pictures were taken from your house. They got pretty close.)
