Well I read around 2,106 pages, all four books plus a partial draft of Midnight sun (Edwards perspective) in just a week in a half. These books definetly keep you off your seat with interest. Yeah i think thats pretty crazy to read that much in that little time. Now i just need to read the things I need to read with that energy.
This book is definetly not for everyone. I really liked it but I like Fantasie mixed in with reality and I love stories with a bit of climatic thrill. I think there was a lot of moral values put into the book that give people more of a perspective on intimacy after marriage and how important that was to certain characters in the book. This is about vampires too and we all know what vampires do, but these vampires did all they could to do what was "right" to them and still survive as "vegetarians". I think there is a lot of meaing behind the lines and moral issues and I think people see that in the story.
I really liked the books, but there were parts in the third and fourth books that were a little more detailed in a history of violence so I just skimmed through that section and disliked the book at times not knowing how it was going to turn out...bad or good. It turned out great and happy so thats good.
I think I would definetly want my son or daughter to be a mature teenager before they were able to read this, that way they can decipher the feelings of the book and themselves better and understand it better with open communication with me. I don't think this book is appropriate for a younger audience. Like PG 13 I guess.
Overall I think it was fun to read and the suspence is great. It will be interesting to see how the movies turn out in the future.
