Job Interview

So I may get a job with Life Touch portrait studios. They are hiring for evenings during the week for the holiday season so I could maybe start next week. The pay is not that good but it would be income and in something that I would enjoy and could build my portfolio with even more. So we shall see. If I do get the job then I will be working at Target on Eagle road at the Life touch portrait studio there. Joseph is still looking and so far he has had very generous brothers and sisters who have offered him day work to help us. Thank you for helping. Wish us luck with the job hunting :)

Meridian Idaho

I found this picture on my parents computer and had to share. Has nothing to do with Meridian Idaho :) From this summer at rapid creek up by our place.

We have been looking around up in McCall area for jobs for the last month and havn't found much available and so we came to the decision that we will have a higher chance of getting a job, part time or whatever down in Meridian which has brought us to the decision to move to Meridian and get work till Joseph goes to Basic Training in March.
So we have been looking for work down in the Meridian/Boise area and so far not much luck but we are trying. We are going to go ahead and move in with my parents and hopefully get a job. My sister Rachel and her family are already living at my parents house until they get into a house of their own so altogether there are 6 kids and 6 adults. The oldest kid will be 8 soon and then a 6 year old and two 3 1/2 year old boys and a 18 month old and a 3 month old. We are looking forward to all helping eachother out and know it is a short term thing and we will all make the best of the situation and have a lot of fun. We have my brothers family next door so that adds 5 more kids. I am excited to be by my family for a time before we take off at the end of summer next year to wherever the Air Force takes us. Rebecca, Rachel, my mom and I are going to have a lot of fun organizing meals, making a fun and functional household, teaching classes, date nights with our hubby's and helping eachother out. I love my family and I am so Grateful for them and the help they are offering us at this time. :)
So as far as Donnelly goes. We will fix up the place that we have been living in and move just necesity items to Meridian. We are planning on going up often enough to take care of things there at thier home and to see our friends and family up there often enough to have some fun. I am sad to leave Donnelly but have been preparing myself for it all summer so I am ok. (at this point anyway, Just wait till next year when I am somewhere new and not close to family and friends...Little scary but exciting) I will sure miss my good friends there. I hope we can keep in touch.
I organised my parents rec room and made a functional area for arts and crafts/pre-school so we can have some fun times teaching and learning and having some fun creating projects this winter. I think this hole experience will be good for me to stay on top of my necessary house cleaning and to organise my self to do those things I desire with my kids such as pre-school and creating and discovering with them.
Wish us Luck.

A fun day as a family

So daddy didn't get to go to the zoo last time so we thought we would go today and show daddy all the cool things to see. On thursday's at the zoo kids 3 and under are free (always) 4-11 are 2.50 and adults are 3.75. So it cost 7.50 for our family to go to the zoo today. It was so much fun!!
We enjoyed the tigers the most. They were "play" fighting and it was fun to see the animals do their own thing. They were pinning eachother and wrestling and then one of the tigers came right up to the glass and the fence and jumped up on it. they even roared at eachother and it was so neat to see them do something besides pace. I missed the penguine exhinit last time and we got to see them this time. It was so cool.

Wahoo! It feels good

So to expound a little more on my hubby's post. What does this all mean....It means that quick ship is out and that March 9th 2010 is the date Joseph is shipped off to Texas for 6 months. Basic is 2 months and security forces tech school is 4 months to total the 6 months (glad I can add :) It feels good to know the date. Now I can mentally prepare for that and we can be more organised for this. So what does that mean with all my plans up till now...They are almost out the door. We have to find work and if we can't find it in Valley county then we will have to come to the Boise area to get one.
We hope to stay in Donnelly till the end of February and then have Joseph move me down to my parents home in Meridian so that when he leaves in March I will be moved and transitioned with my family. I can rent something while he is gone. This would be nice but Life is such that we can't always get what we want so saying that we just hope to get a job and have some income.
So security forces is like the military police for Air force. He will do patrols on base and he hopes to eventually do additional training with the K9 unit as well as special things that you can look up. Time will tell. I am just so excited and feel very blessed to be taking a step forward in all of this. Just to remind everyone who might be a little bit freaking out at this point, we have come to this point in our lives with much prayer and love in our hearts for our savior. We feel good about our decisions and look forward to the future. We are so happy!! Thanks for all of your support and love and prayers.

"Defensor Fortis" Defenders of the Force

Well it is finally official. I have booked a job as Security Forces in the Air Force. I leave for basic training on March 9Th. So now I just have to survive until then. It is finally good to know when. We would have liked sooner but we don't always get what we want. I am just grateful we know now and it was the job we wanted. At least I will have plenty of time to get into shape before I get shipped off to Basic.

The happenings in Meridian

So I got my haircut again. I went to a cheap place to get a haircut and she didn't do a very good job and so I had to finish up by taking a couple more inches off and give myself bangs. It was fun, I like it. Hopefully I am getting better at this :)

There was a big wind storm here on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning we woke up to this. I love this tree and now it is no longer. Poor willow. There was branches all over the yard that broke off trees as well. Maybe I am crazy and haven't lived where there are actual tornadoes but I get all excited when there is a storm and seeing the strength of mother nature. It is pretty cool :)

Conference Ideas

So thanks to Becca my sister in law I got inspired to do more on conference weekend. I want to hear what you do around that weekend and good tips to enjoy the weekend and make the best of it.
(for those of you who do not know what conference weekend is, it happens twice a year the first Saturday and Sunday of the months April and October. It is where our prophet Thomas S. Monson and the quorum of the 12 apostles and others of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints talk to us about Hope and Faith and other gospel topics for two hours in the morning and afternoon on each day. The first session starts at 10 am and the second starts at 2 pm. It is a wonderful weekend where you feel like you can be Re-charged Spiritually. If any of you are interested in checking it out and what was said you can go to LDS.org and see it for yourself)

Anyway, so I want to make it such a fun weekend that we all look forward to. My brother's family starts saturday morning with homemade Cinnamon Rolls and through out the day they eat things that start with "C" for "C"onference weekend. So carrotts, celery, chicken nuggets, Candy, and so on. They have a Conference campout either outside or in their living room and watch conference from a tent with the kids. The kids have packets to do during conference but it would be fun to get more ideas here.
Anyway, i love conference weekend and I love how I feel on those couple of days and would love to hear more about what all of your families do so i can start making traditions for my own. Thanks for the tips!~

Catch you up to date

On Saturday morning while I was in Boise I thought I would make little bags for my kids for quiet times at church or in other events (such as conference) where I need them busy staying quiet so I created these bags..yeah not much planning and pretty sloppy but they are for fun and they work. I took a zip lock baggie and sewed it to the fabric for a window and then filled it up with toys and misc. items from around the house and I have a list of what is in there and I say can you find all four candles or can you find the picture of Christ which are all inside mixed in with beans (you can use rice for better results) Anyway, it's fun and the kids liked them for at least 5 minutes ;)

At my moms we found out that Bridger could open the doors with the type of door handles they have....well he got into the pantry and into the flour bucket and got flour everywhere by throwing it. He thought he was so cool and felt very proud of himself. Silly boy!! So here is a picture of us getting him cleaned up in the kitchen sink.

We went to linder Farms in meridian and went through a section of the corn maze. The kids loved it. We got some wonderful coupons from Rebbecca (THANK YOU)and we went on hay rides around the farm and petted some baby animals in a little petting zoo they had too. It was a good time and it was nice to do something fun for the fall. I love fall time and I love going to places like this. I think they help you get into that harvest spirit.

There was my Brother Clint and my sister Rachel and her husband Matt and there 4 kids that were there with us. Mitchell, Abigail and Bethany are pictured.

On Thursday I went to Weiser and picked concord grapes with a couple of friends of mine. It was an amazing vineyard and very well kept. I got to go with out the boys too. They would of had fun there but I am kinda glad I was able to go and let them have a daddy day. We just kept picking until all of our boxes were full and then we split it 3 ways. I got 295 pounds of grapes times that by three and we picked around 900 lbs of grapes. better yet we stayed in the same two rows the whole time and only picked about 1/4 of that row and got that many grapes. It was an amazing experience and fun. My first time doing something like that. By the time I am finished today I should have 27 quarts of juice, 2 gallons of juice for the fridge and a big bowl of grapes to eat and 12 pint jars of jelly and I gave away the other 212 pounds of grapes that I had. So I got all of that with 83 pounds of grapes.

At the vineyard I ran down a couple of rows and running with the smell of concord grapes and a cool breeze was heavenly :)

Gideon and Bridger had fun helping us for a little bit. They helped crush up the grapes for cooking.

So this was from one box of grapes that filled the deep sink to the rim. 70lbs of grapes went into the sink. :)WOW!

When I got home the boys were so excited to try the grapes. Pretty SWEET!

Bridger's A Big boy

I saw Bridger doing his little potty dance and so I grabbed him and put the little toilet seat on the toilet and he finished going in the toilet. After that and the big deal we had of him being a big boy, after I got him dressed he started taking his pants and diaper off and said "potty"? It was so cute!! A friend of mine says she potty trained her boys at 18 months and so we will give it a whirl. It is probably going to be more work but what do I have to loose....I will give it a try. It's worth it. Anyway, Hooray!! for Bridger for being such a big boy :)

Popcorn Popping....

So on our trip from Boise back home we (Joseph and I)were singing to Bridger to keep him from being such a grumpy grumps and made up two new versions to the pop corn popping song. Our ward has a winter version so I came up with a fall and summer time one. I will give all four seasons..

Spring Time
I looked out the window and what did I see, popcorn popping on the apricot tree. Spring time has brought me such a nice surprise, blossoms popping right before my eyes. I Can take an arm full and make a treat, a popcorn ball that would smell so sweet. I know it isn't so, but it seems to me, Pop corn popping on the apricot tree.

Summer time
I looked out the window and what did I see, butterflies fluttering on the breeze. Summer's brought me such a nice surprise, colorful flutters right before my eyes. I can see a caterpillar make a cocoon, a colorful butterfly he'll become soon. I know it is so and it seems to me, butterfly's flutter'n on the breeze.

Fall Time
I looked out the window and what did I see, apples falling off the apple tree. Fall times brought me such a nice surprise, apples falling right before my eyes. I can take a arm full and make a treat, Apple cider that tastes so sweet. I know it is so and it seems to me, Apples falling off the apple tree.

Winter Time
I looked out the window and what did i see, snowflakes falling on the evergreen tree. Winter's brought me such a nice surprise, snowflakes falling right before my eyes. I can make a snowball, i know I can. Three big snowballs to make a snowman. I know it is so and it seems to me, snowflakes falling on the evergreen tree.

Fun Fun Fun!! :)

The World

I Like this world picture and printed it and I am going to start teaching my kids and learn more about our Earth. My goal is to eventually get a nice big wall map to explore and discover. :)

No Go!!

Another Air Force Roller Coaster but we hope it isn't a long ride. We will be just getting phone calls in the future if they have any jobs available for quick ship and we will see on the 15th of this month if we are actually going to get Assigned one of our top 5 jobs. There was a Navy guy there being shipped out today and Joseph said that he has been waiting since January to get the job that he wants. So I hope it isn't that long of a wait but we shall see. The Lord's Timing is usually different then ours and we need to be patient and do all we can in the mean time to survive. Thanks to all for your prayers and we will keep a hold on Hope and look forward to a new day. I will keep my blog updated so hopefully we will hear some good news in the future.

The Jones Round Up

I hope each of you are having a good week! Love all of ya~ Camille
