So thanks to Becca my sister in law I got inspired to do more on conference weekend. I want to hear what you do around that weekend and good tips to enjoy the weekend and make the best of it.
(for those of you who do not know what conference weekend is, it happens twice a year the first Saturday and Sunday of the months April and October. It is where our prophet Thomas S. Monson and the quorum of the 12 apostles and others of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints talk to us about Hope and Faith and other gospel topics for two hours in the morning and afternoon on each day. The first session starts at 10 am and the second starts at 2 pm. It is a wonderful weekend where you feel like you can be Re-charged Spiritually. Anyway, so I want to make it such a fun weekend that we all look forward to. My brother's family starts saturday morning with homemade Cinnamon Rolls and through out the day they eat things that start with "C" for "C"onference weekend. So carrotts, celery, chicken nuggets, Candy, and so on. They have a Conference campout either outside or in their living room and watch conference from a tent with the kids. The kids have packets to do during conference but it would be fun to get more ideas here.
Anyway, i love conference weekend and I love how I feel on those couple of days and would love to hear more about what all of your families do so i can start making traditions for my own. Thanks for the tips!~
