Sam By Jack Weyland

I am sure a lot of you have read this book by now but I never read it because I was done at Charley...Too sad. But my sister in law suggested it to me to read it and promised me it was good so yesterday I read it. Yeah, this is what I do in my free time now. Read! I am reading a lot lately. I used to be a movie buff. Now I am having my own movies in my head when I am reading these books. I am not crazy right?!... I am just enjoying reading :) Well I enjoyed this one. It was good. I like happy endings.

Rupunzels Revenge

This was such a cute book and only took a couple hours to read. (with kids) It is a illustrated novel and is a twist on the life of rupunzel out west. There is a couple pages where you can see clevage on a woman so if you blot that out I can see this being a great adventure story for all readers. Enjoy!~

The Bayern Books By Shannon Hale

I really liked these books and finished them in the first 2 weeks Joseph was gone. Fast reading, magical, heroic, courage, romance, and all of the above. Great books and would totally recomend them to most everyone. Enjoy!!

A miracle through a prayer

So today was a great day! Dan and Lisa, Joseph's parents came home from their mission from the Philippines and we got to see them at the airport then had a party all afternoon visiting with the family.
When I got home from their I was not doing as good and missed my husband terribly. I was at my limit and I felt like my wick was for sure getting choked out. I finally knelt down and prayed to Heavenly Father and told him how much I missed my husband and I needed to hear from him. (I have not received any letters and the last phone call I got from him was at the airport in Texas telling me he had arrived. It has been 4 weeks since then.)
I looked at the time and knew that a phone call was out of the question because it was already 7pm. and the mail had already come and no letter and I just felt stuck. "I missed my husband" that all there is to it. And then a 1/2 hour later I received a call from my husband.
It was a whole 5 minutes long. That is a lot better than 30 seconds or 3 minutes. He sounded good. He said his favorite times were Chow time and going to church on Sundays. You could tell he was home sick and it was as hard for him to not be able to talk to me forever as it was for me.
I just have to say that my heavenly father Loves me so much that he would soften the heart of a MTI (Military Training Instructor) to allow my husband to call his wife and say Hi. I KNOW that this was a true answer to my prayer. I am so grateful!!! and that just made my day, my week and my month. :)
Heavenly Father Loves each of us and wants us to be Happy. Well I am a happy girl tonight thanks to my Heavenly Father! :)

Yummy Cake!!

I felt like making a yummy dessert tonight. 'Raspberry kiss chocolate love' is what I just made up for it's name...Sounds good to me :) it was really yummy
What I did~
Regular chocolate cake mix and added frozen raspberries. sprayed a bundt pan and filled it up with cake batter. baked that for 50 minutes. then cooled it and put it on the pan with some fudge icing and stuck it in the freezer to cool more. When fully cooled I covered it with a whole container of vanilla frosting and and then drizzled the fudge icing onto that with frozen raspberries. YUM ~ Served with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!!

I used this really good recipe for the fudge icing that I put on top of the cake
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 1/3 cup milk 5 tablespoons shortening 1 pinch salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
In a saucepan combine sugar, cocoa, milk, shortening, and salt. Bring mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add vanilla and continue beating until frosting starts to thicken slightly. The frosting will be real creamy.

A cool Air Force website to check out

http://www.airforce.com/interactive/basic-training/
If you copy this website and paste it into your web browser you can go and see what Joseph does week by week. It is fun to check out and AirForce.com is a great place to learn more about what joseph is going to be doing. He is going to tech school for Security Forces.

A neat letter

I recieved a letter from (General) Robert C. Oaks who is over Military relations for the church. He sent me a personalized letter thanking me for supporting my husband and my husband for what he was doing. it sure made me feel good to know that the church looks out for, supports and is there for you when you need them in so many things. Just thought it was neat.

The church military cordinators on Lackland Air Force Base took a picture of Joseph and sent it to me. I love it!! it totally made my day. He looks so good. I have never seen a more handsome man.... Preparing for Letters

I went to the store and got some cool new pens and colored pencils and construction paper and tpe and glue and scissors so that the boys will be able to make lots of things for daddy. I made stationary for us to write daddy on too. it is our photographs from our family pictures and made them into stationary. More entertaining than lined paper right :)

MEPS... I am officially an Airforce wife :)

It was neat to be there and to witness the swear in and watching my husband go from inactive to Active duty and apart of the Air Force. Joseph's brother Ben made it to the swear in and Joseph really appreciated him being there. We were there along time after he was sworn in and I kept the boys occupied by playing in the arcade area of MEPS. I got to talk with some other people about the military and think more about our future.

This is at the airport when we said good bye...i mean "see you later or Soon". We don't like good bye's. We started that before his mission. I shed most of my tears last night when i dropped off Joseph at his motel but as he walked away where we couldn't see him anymore I lost it for all of 10 seconds and Gideon said, "Mom don't be sad,...you shouldn't be sad". It was really cute. We sure will miss our Fun full of life hubby and daddy over the next few months ahead but we will become stronger beacuse of it. It ended up being a great day.
Looking back I think I have put as much if not more planning into this than i have into new babies coming into my life. Everything went pretty smoothly. ...oh yeah, except for our truck that I have to take back to the shop because it is making some crazy noises with the "service engine soon" light on. ~ Just another day in paradise ..Right? :)

Birthday Weekend

Sunday we spontaniously got onto Kayak.com and reserved a motel room at the Ameritel Inn in Boise. We wanted something new and different and something special to make memories with daddy on our last evening with him for a while. It was a lot of fun. We got a GREAT deal, great complimentary breakfast, great pool for swimming and good yummy cookies in the evening. The boys had a great time. The flag picture is the view from our window. We thought it was pretty appropriate to wake up to this. Our hall window was of the temple. Monday we hung out together and enjoyed the time we had.

I got enscribed on Joseph's military scriptures his name for a farewell gift.

We had a joint party with the fam. My mom got us this cake. Fun Fun!! It was really good too. DQ all icecream cake :)

The roses were from Bridger for my Birthday

Gideon wanted to get me a baseball and so I got it autographed from my 3 favorite men.

Joseph gave me a beautiful love note which I have to admit I cried most of the way through. It was a great birthday!

The Jones Round Up

I hope each of you are having a good week! Love all of ya~ Camille
