Oh Texas.....

I love it when I am here because you have my husband but other than that, your too hot for me :) I can't wait to have him back. 8 more weeks!!!!

It was up in the upper 90's and very humid!!
So I just spent a wonderful weekend with my husband in San Antonio. I am so grateful to such wonderful family for helping watch and have fun with my boys this last weekend.
I have had so much fun with Joseph. When I first got down here he had a scare because their team was going to be in lock down for the whole weekend because of dirty bathrooms. Joseph was still pretty shaken up from it when I got here. Luckily they just had to clean the building for a few hours in the morning on Saturday and we got to spend the rest of the time together. We are lucky....they usually don't go back on their words.
So on Saturday we decided to go to Sea World because of the Military discount that we would get for getting in. We spent a wonderful day there.

We saw just a couple of days old baby beluga whale, got to see shamu and a 6 month old killer whale at the Believe show, then we went on the steel eel roller coaster ride that really has a good drop that when we looked at the pictures afterward I looked happy hysterical and Joseph looked terrified. It was pretty funny! Then I talked him into going on a roller coaster that he was pretty against going on. Well lets just say at the beginning he was not liking me and at the end of the ride he LOVED it. We ended up going back on it like 7 times. It was called the great white and was a suspended roller coaster so you your feet hang down. FUN Fun FUn!!!

We went on the river rafting ride as well with a family with 2 cute kids that made the ride fun. Our favorite shows were the Sea lions. I was so impressed with how amazingly smart these animals were. The show was about the sea lion gang investigating copious quantities of missing fish.

So there was this sea otter and he would run around stage steeling things and then would stand up and clap. he was so cute!! Then the sea lions would act so well it was amazing. One of the sea lions came up to the side of the pool right up on the edge and waves but this time lost it's balance and fell onto the concrete below right in front of the crowd. It was actually kinda scary. The look on the trainers face was fear for sure but she got her back into the pool and said that's never happened before and the show went on. So at the very end of this show they had a huge male come out and get onto stage and they were telling him he was a little over weight and he needed to work out and so this sea lion lays on his back and puts his fins behind his head and starts doing perfect form sit ups. It was amazing!!!
We went to cool vibrations skiing show that was really good. That had the female acrobats that would do tricks that professional couple ice skaters would do on ice skate but on ski's. It was a really good show with very athletically talented people. Overall it was wonderful.
5 years ago Joseph and i went to lagoon and had a great time on roller coasters and such and 5 years later we went to sea world. Maybe we will be going to amusement parks every 5 years..... :)Or at least when the boys get big enough to go on some of the rides.
Overall Texas was wonderful to see Joseph and to hang out with him for the weekend.

Road trip 2010 (The Ocean!!!!!)

Feeding Seagulls on the way to the ocean :)

Cape Lookout

The Sunset on Cape look out!!~ I love my boys in the sunset light :)

Haystack rock at Cape Kiwanda I loved this area!~

It poured on us and we were all soaked. It was actually really fun anyway. Running on the beach in the rain splashing through puddles from the low tide. Beautiful!

Tillamook Cheese Factory.......The power of cheese...and chocolate milk :)

Cape Meares... One of my Favorites!!!

Cape Meares Lighthouse

This is Nehelam Bay State park that we stopped at just to check it out and move on. It has an area so you can bring horses. So it is very horse friendly and you can ride along the beach here. Sounds like something I would love to do in the future.

This is a Tide pool on a beach south of cannon Beach. It was so breathtaking and beautiful and cool!

So I would have had a lot more pictures at this beach but we had an incident happen that was rather scary. We all loved looking at the tide pools and most of them were only puddles as you can tell. Bridger would even jump into someof them like they were puddles and through them ect... Well there was this one tide pool that wrapped itself around a big rock and must have a pretty good current around when in high tide. The tide pool was about 5 feet deep and wrapped itself around the rock. Well Bridger must have assumed it was like all the others and fun to play in because he went right into it. i was across the tide pool and couldn't get to him fast enough. My mom was the closest. He fell face first and had his little head barely bobbing on top of the water and My mom got to him intime as he was submerge and grabbed his foot and lifted him out of the water. I was so scared adn it had all of our hearts in shock. I grabbed him from my mom and held him and he seemed to be just fine except for extremely cold. He didn't even cough so he didn't breath in any of the water. I high tailed it while cradeling him to the car which was a good 1/4 of a mile away at least. The poor boy was closing his eyes adn freezing. I got him to the car adn stripped him down to nothing and wrapped him up in a blanket, turned the cars heater on and just held him. What a scary experience that ended happy and well. I am so grateful he is alright and that we didn't have our backs to him when it happened.

We went out to eat for lunch in Cannon Beach. I had a crab sandwich that was really good.

The Jones Round Up

I hope each of you are having a good week! Love all of ya~ Camille
