We are playing around with different brands for our "eventually" to be cattle business. These are our results. Joseph had fun Wood burning a few ideas on wood.
Arcadian Cattle is what we will call it...
Arcadia is a rural mountainous place where the God Pan called home in Ancient Greece. It is defined for simple rustic pleasure, peaceful and quiet.
It fits! So this is our brand we came up with for it.
Pan (Greek: Πᾶν, Pān), in Greek religion and mythology, is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music, as well as the companion of the nymphs.[1] His name originates within the Ancient Greek language, from the word paein (πάειν), meaning "to pasture."[2] He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr. With his homeland in rustic Arcadia, he is recognized as the god of fields, groves, and wooded glens; because of this, Pan is connected to fertility and the season of spring.
We like this and the rustic likeness to Arcadia and it's meaning. (if you know me I am all about names with meaning)...and I like ancient Greek mythology :)
The top left is our 2nd choice
I did photo-shop to try it on for size and looks.....It probably wouldn't look like this but we plan on doing a freeze brand to turn the hair white. Not bad :)
