Last bit of March

The weather around here has been beautiful.  It has been mid 60's and sunny for about a week and now it is starting to cool off again but it was sure nice to have spring come in so nicely.  Love Spring Time!!!!

This is us starting our garden.  We planted peppers, onions, lettuce, peas, beans, watermelon, cantaloupe  and .....I think that's it.  We are looking forward to a good year.
Our extra raspberry shoots

Joseph got me greenhouses for my birthday.  I like them a lot!

An onion that sprouted in our cupboard.......

One of our boxes of strawberries

Joseph built me some cubbies so now I have home school stuff, games and toys close at hand and organised....The garage thing totally didn't work.  I wasn't in there enough to supervise and lots of messes later we have this and I am loving it so far :)

These are just a few of my gymnastic kids.  There were a lot missing the day I went in to say good bye.  They sure are cute.  I still need to go see the older girls.

Manderscheid castle creek we played at for Pre-school field trip.
Skipping rocks

Angie and Emily  Love these Utah girls :)

My cowboy!  He enjoyed being with all of us ladies on his day off ;)

Brock Gideon Bridger and Kaison

Sadie and London with their mommy Ashley

Kim and her daughter Maron

We saw this sign on the way home and they had these mesh net screens along the side of the road.  I guess it gets pretty slippery here if they get ran over.  I was thinking this would be a good sign for the lake up at the ranch :)

We are looking forward to Conference weekend even though our plans have changed quite a bit.  More to come later :)  Any extra prayers you want to say for our family at this time would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Tazer training

This is a video of Joseph being tazed with 50,000 volts of electricity.  It hurts really bad and he didn't even yell.  I am impressed!!  He and a few other people got to do this for training.
Joseph did it a second time too but with direct contact with a gun on his leg.  All four different probes left painful welts.  The joys of being trained :)

The consequences of a toe-touch

So this last Thursday at Gymnastics I was just finished with warm ups with my older girls and we started to do jumps.  We did our routine of straight jump, tuck jump, straddle jump and then they wanted to do toe touches.  I did one on Tuesday that went well but not today.  When I demonstrated I did my toe touch and was landing it but my foot caught on the floor just inches too short and my knee kept going the rest of the way with a loud POP!  I fell to the floor because of the pain and stayed there for the next ten minutes not wanting to be moved.  It hurt so bad.
So after a long 35 minutes they had some EMT's come and take me to the hospital.  (that was embarrassing, now i know how people felt when I would pick them up in the ambulance :) ) and I told no one to post pictures on Face book :)
There at the hospital I was not able to get an X-ray due to being pregnant and so they decided to treat my leg as a fracture and casted the backside of my leg like a splint and wrapped it.  The next day I had scheduled an MRI but the dr. I went to go see was very against me getting one because of unknown risks and the what if's.  So no MRI and by this time my knee was huge and swollen and they were unable to check for further injuries.  So Monday I went back after keeping my leg up all weekend and had the head doctor check me out.  The swelling had gone down a bit and he started playing with my leg.  He grabbed the top of my knee and my shin and pushed up and down.  My knee shifted up and down without anything grabbing and he concluded that for sure I tore my ACL and stressed my Lateral collateral ligament and says if it is just those things then we can wait for surgery until after the baby is delivered but wants an MRI to see what is going on with the cartilage and joints.  So Tuesday I go back for an MRI and the nurses and Doctors talk me out of it because I am 12 weeks a long and they want me to at east wait till I am out of my first trimester of a developing baby.  So I agreed I would wait 2-3 weeks to be at a stage of a growing baby instead of a developing baby.  I have my OB apt this next week so i will ask my doctor then what he thinks too.
So it has been a roller coaster of emotions, Doctor appointments, getting people to watch my kids and pain.
So advice to all, make sure to land your toe touches correctly :)

This is a picture of a torn ACL

This is a picture of the rest of the knee

So now i am gimping around the house trying to keep my leg up as often as I can and wanting to do more.  Joseph has been doing so well keeping the kitchen in order and is going shopping for me later on today after work.  He's the best!  The boys also do a good job bringing me things too and doing jobs for points.
I have managed to get used to the stairs now and use one hand on the railing and the other is holding a crutch and I take it a step at a time.

from the shots i have to give myself (or Joseph give me) for blood clots on my casted leg

Reading Harry Potter (Larissa, I am reading them and enjoying them) I am impressed at how well they kept the movies similar to the books.   I have read the first 2 so far :)

My sweet little helpers

We also celebrated my 27th Birthday this last week and I got home from Gymnastics and Joseph had homemade cake and frosting waiting for me.  YUM!!!  I have a Confession to make.....this is what I had for dinner that night too :) Ha ha!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

On Thursday (the night of my incident) I had some really nice gal friends who had a dinner and girls night at Elaina's house to celebrate my birthday.  It was a lot of fun but my knee killed me that night.

A beautiful Week

We had our ultra sound this week and found a very active little baby moving around in there.  It did my heart good to see the baby moving and to see the heart pumping.  The boys pray everyday in every prayer that mommy wont be sick and that our baby will stay here on earth and wont go live in heaven yet.  :)  I love how excited they are for there new little brother or sister.  They are rooting for the sister so we shall see.

It was sunny outside and then all of a sudden it started snowing.... Love it.  This is about how much snow we have had at a time here but every little bit counts :)

The Dude....
The Dude.....Posing :)

The second dude....

We went and had a picnic and for a walk and a drive back in the hills and while we were picnicking we saw group after group of Sandhill cranes.  We usually get a couple at the ranch in Idaho but there were 100's passing over us on this day.  Sure was fun :)

Me and my cowboy

Taking a walk

One of the views

We went and visited the Lil dam behind the base and the water was SOLID.  We have had some cold spells but I was suprised to see it so solid.  We tried denting it with a rock but nothing :)

I couldn't download the one of Bridger which was hilarious so you'll just have to enjoy Gideon's  :)

Campfire roasting hot dogs and smores..... It will be nice to have a BIG real campfire again.  But we loved what we got :)

My mom sent me a package for my Birthday with the boys B-day presents in it too.  I got a nice book about my parents life and our family growing up.  It was so fun looking at the pictures with my family.  I also got a beautiful sewn 'Spring' fabric decoration my mom has made that are beautiful.  WE also got Mancala and the boys got cards and legos.  Thanks Grandma and grandpa Jarvis!!

Mailboxes filled with candy

For the weekend we went down to Ramstein AB adn went swimming :)  We LOVED that.  It was the first time Joseph had gone with us in over 2 years.  Then we stayed the night there and the next morning took it nice and easy.  I went to the grocery store there adn got some stuff for us to eat that day and just was in AWE!  at the produce section.  Imagine going to a small store that has a limited produce section and high prices  then imagine your self walking into one of those really nice grocery stores where there is so much variety in fruit and vegies.....It was incredible.  It made me miss the states :)

We then headed to Kaiserslautern for a Stake Relief Society Service activity and before that all happened we went to the park that is just down the street.  It is a Dino garden where the rest of it is closed till warmer weather but we went and played on the stuff that was accessible.  Then the boys headed home while I really enjoyed hearing about serving in our communities, making goodie bags for wounded servicemen and writing letters to those away from family for the holidays and visited with some wonderful ladies.  it was fun.  THen it was off to back home.  It was a nice weekend.

This was a building next to the park that was a little disturbing in a way.  There are all these statues of men on the top of the building that looked totally real from a distance.

The cliffs of K town :)

The Jones Round Up

I hope each of you are having a good week! Love all of ya~ Camille
