Staubach falls is the falls that was right against the mountain by our campsite. You can hike up to it and walk through a big culvert tunnel and up some stairs to a cave carved out behind the falls. It was a beautiful view from there seeing the valley of Lauterbrunnen
It was very wet too! I am not sure what she is thinking but she got nice and misted though :)
So fun and Beautiful!
Lauterbrunnen
We had our drink out of a Switzerland water fountain. That have these everywhere for hikers to get cooled off and have a drink. Really cool. It was nice and cold and yummy!
We drove up to Grindewald and saw this view of the
The Eiger is on the Right side and Mattenberg on the Left
This is near Pfingstegg where we were going to go up the mountain so we could ride on a toboggan ride with the kids but due to an avalanche we couldn't go up. Pretty crazy!
More pretty falls
We went and had some of the worlds best gelato here in Interlaken after we picked up Clint from his Canyoneering adventure. So yummy!! I had lemon and strawberry.
Arya loved it too! Look at those hot cheeks. So cute!
SO on this day it was my brothers birthday and he went all out. He had an all day Canyoneering trip in the alps then we pick him up, enjoy some Gelato and then he rents a bike we take him back to the campground and from there he sets off to the end of the valley to take a cable car up to the town of Murren and then has Chinese food, plays soccer with the locals and rides back down the mountain to get home close to midnight. Talk about bringing your 30's in with a bang. Way to go Clint! We dropped him off at a train station on the way home and he was set off to Italy and the Mediterranean coastline. I can't wait to hear about his adventures!
It was so fun to go on a family vacation and be together. I love family trips! Hopefully we can take the ones in the near future (like to the US) with ease. Have a good Summer everyone!!
