It was so fun to spend the day with my family and my mom and my brother Clint and my Nephew Richy. We all set out to first check out the birds of Prey center where we saw many different kinds of birds. It was so cool. There was 3 Condors and just to hear their wings beating as they flew was amazing. You can hear the power and strength that they have in their size. Some of our favorites were the Bald eagle and the great horned owl. It was a wonderful time with lots of learning and hands on fun.
Watching info videos in the tour
Some of the nests built in the wild that actually kept the birds safer and were able to reproduce better
Being Silly with uncle Clint with real animal skins
the size of birds eyes compared to their heads :)
The actual wingspans of the eagle owl and red tail hawk
Prehistoric egg compared to other eggs. There was a hummingbird egg that was the size of a tic tac. I had no idea how small they were. It was really neat to see the different kinds of birds eggs.
Doing some fun things in the kid zone. work sheets, books, stuffed animals and things to look at through a microcope
Group Shot
Comparing the size of yourself to these birds....AMAZING!
It was a wonderful field trip filled with learning and fun.
