It feels good to finally update my blog again.
So on the 28th of October we were kicked out of our hotel because we had reached our 30 day mark. So we decided to go camping in a little cabin at the on base campground. We rented a gas stove a heater and sleeping bags to make the experience a little better since we still at this point had nothing but our suitcases we brought from Germany.
The cabin was freezing when we got there and decided to go to Walmart and get another space heater to get it warmer. It became quite cozy and an adventure. The boys had a bunk bed we had the full and Arya had a porta-crib we borrowed. She slept better the 3 nights we were there then she did the whole time in TLF. It was GREAT!

This is in the laundry room in the lodge area. They had a microwave there and we made hot chocolate in the mornings :)
This is the little cabin we stayed in. It was charming with a little porch swing on it.
The antelope are all over the base along with Canadian geese. Both are protected as the base is a reserve for them.

It was fun to watch a military exercise unfold right in front of us. They used the truck as a convoy where the transfer a nuclear weapon which is surrounded by humvis. There were two helicopters flying low above us to for an extra eye on the ground. So they role played some bad guys trying to get to the nuke and they had to set up snipers and people all over around this truck. It was interesting to watch.
While daddy had the car and was at training we took a walk as we got a break from the clouds and the sun came out. We walked down by the creek that was practically overflowing and ice cycles were everywhere in the trees.
Playing on the swing. Arya loved this :)
