Enjoying the snow in Idaho

So before I got to Idaho......
So I was planning on leaving Cheyenne Monday morning so I could drive on a sunny day all the way to Utah and then drive to Idaho on Tuesday... well it didn't work out that way.  The whole stretch across Wyoming on the I-80 was closed to high profile vehicles and vehicles pulling trailers (that would be me) due to the strong wind advisory they were having that was bringing this cold front and winter storm in.  The wind gusts were 65mph+ so Monday was out of the question.... So that left me with Tuesday which had snow showers but it was just the beggining of a 10 day forcast of endless snow in the forecast.  So it was attempt the trip on Tuesday or not at all right now and I chose now.  So Tuesday morning I headed out and had clear roads until I just got past Laramie Wyoming which is about an hour into the trip.  That is when the snow started falling.  So for most of my 'supposed to be 6 1/2 hour trip' was snow and I went about 35mph and it took me 14 hours to get to Ogden Utah.  i was so grateful to make it there and with out any problems (except for the few times fish tailing with the horse trailer)
So Wednesday morning I made the rest of the trip in 5 hours to Boise.  It was so nice to finally reach my destination.  I got here right in time because I went and stayed the night at my sister Rachel's house and her water broke just minutes after we went to bed.  She has brought a beautiful healthy baby girl into the world named Mary Grace Syphus.  My mom and I helped with the kids for the weekend and enjoyed that.

Saturday morning we woke up to thick snow 6 inches deep :)

So the cousins played in the snow with the four wheeler and knee board (that Grandpa ingeniously drilled a whole in the front part to be pulled behind the four wheeler)

Mitchell, Michael, Richie, Joseph and Gideon

my parents are selling the farm and so it was really nice to spend some time out there playing.  We will miss this place whenever it sells one of these days.
