While Joseph was out working in Nebraska he saw this tornado
(which is taken by some storm chaser in the area which I then copied off of the news)

So last night after i put kids to bed a storm hit and I was worried and scared because I couldn't see what was going on because it was dark and was worried that maybe there was a tornado with the thunderstorm, but luckily there was just lots of hale. Thank goodness this didn't hit at my house because I don't want golf ball size hail to ruin my car. We got a ton of rain, ice chunks and wind...oh and lightning ever 2 seconds.but down near wally world they got a flash flood of hail. Under every tree was shredded leaves. In the flat areas there was at least a foot thick of hail and these pictures were taken 12 hours later.
that's not snow.....
big ice balls
It is about 75 degrees outside in this picture
Icebergs of hail
it looks like the water level got up to 4-6 feet
Today was a little different. We were hanging out in the living room (Feeding Orrin in between packing) the base alarm went off for weather. I step out of my front door to see if I could see anything and I saw a tornado above my neighbors house. I was so excited I grabbed my camera and ran upstairs to find it was just a funnel cloud but my first one. It drifted away after a few minutes but it was cool to experience and having it be so close was a bit thrilling.... a little too thrilling for Bridger. He started crying because he was scared. So now I have seen an official funnel cloud.
Us out and about watching the sky after the tornado...almost touched down :)
