So my ring has had some trauma over the last year.  When Joseph took off for the first time last year, on the day of his departure my ring caught on a gas nozzle while filling up my car and cut through it.  I got it saughtered back together but it wasn't a very good job.  Well A couple weeks before Joseph took off this year I caught my ring on a swing while I was pushing the boys and it almost ripped off my finger at the same time but bent the ring pretty good and you could see the split again.  Then I went swimming in some high Chlorine waters with my boys this weekend and noticed my ring in the car like this with a huge gap.... Guess I should see if they can reinforce it with Titanium or something for how accident prone I am with it :)  Hopefully they can fix it.

So my neice Olivia For her first grade class read the book "Flat Stanley" and then they made themselves flat and sent them to relatives and friends all over the world and we were supposed to write what they did while they were on vacation here in Germany.  Such a cute idea.  I think I might copy it and do something fun with it :)  This is a picture of us with flat Olivia and then a picture of her taking a walk with the boys in Germany.  ( I drew her in because it was hard to get her to stand with them :)

Things have been crazy, fun, hard, lonely and eventful.  We are trying to make the best of our situation without daddy but it is hard for us and him but we keep pushing forward :)  I have been on more of Survival mode the last few weeks and slowly starting to ease out of that and get a handle on things with our house, the boys and myself.  We are really looking forward to visiting Idaho and that has helped having something fun to look forward too.
We went swimming for the first time here in Germany and it was definitely a new experience.  So you walk downstairs towards the pool and you come to a big area with blow dryers and mirrors and men and women getting ready after swimming.  Then you continue forward to a wall of doors.......Ok so pick a door any door so you open a door and it is a tiny little room to dress in and then there is a door on the opposite side of your box of a dressing room that leads you out to a locker room where you can lock away your things then you have a wall again (these walls are like office cubical walls mind you and all the doors are just push open kind with no locks) and you can go into a girl shower area or a boys and if you walk a little more forward you will find an unmarked door to the pool area because you can here the pool so you figure it is on the other side and you open it and have finally made it through the maze of Men and women combined dressing/ locker room.  The pool was fun.  They had a kiddie area where we hung out for the majority of the time (you pay per hour) and then they have a bigger pool with fountains and fun things to play with.  We went down one slide that seriously is like a drop off and is a bit deeper than you think at the bottom so I had to work at getting my footing while trying to get two boys heads out of the water.....my response from the boys as soon as I got them out was...."Can we go back over to the kid slide, we like that one better."  Poor kids.  So we played and swam in the kiddie pool and enjoyed our time very much.  I also discovered that men do not where shorts to swim and hang out with their kids just speedos (yuk) I thought that was just for swim team. :)  and that they have these little romper kind of covers they put over their child's swim diaper and that is all the child wears boy or girl and they went up to about age 4 and then I think another kid had an accident so his dad just took off everything and let him run around naked.  Yes, a bit different from what I am used to but a lot the same in many ways too.
The boys loved the opportunity and it was a nice out for us.
So the camera I got once we came over to Germany is now broken.  I dropped it and I had to jimmy rig it a bit to work but I broke the zoom on it and then that night Gideon had it and dropped it again and totally bent the lens and it was no longer working at all so we went and got a new one which is off limits to the boys and I hope I have less buttery fingers with it too.  But I need to find a good digital camera for kids.  The boys love making their own videos and taking pictures.  The new camera I got is a Fujifilm which are nice and it has a cool feature where it will detect a smile and automatically take a picture. Pretty cool huh.
I have my first Dr's apt. tomorrow and we hope everything will go well.  Look forward to posting pictures or video of the ultrasound they'll do. :)
