I have been busy today. I finally got my photoshop 7.0 in the mail which is the Intermediate photoshop out there and there is so much I have forgotten and that I need to learn. So I am going to set up a crash course of photoshop and learn as much as I can in my "spare" time that I have. I also checked out some really cool websites. One is www.zenfolio.com and it is where photographers can list there photography and sell it and the company goes through mpix to print and send directly to your buyer. So it is less work for you and people will actually see your work. I also was amazed in the artwork put into the photographs and thinking I really need to start taking more photos. And get the money to get the latest in software to keep up with the "competition" :) So I am having fun learning so much that I have been rusty on. I havn't been in photoshop for lmost 4 years now. It is amazing how much info goes right out when you don't use what you have been taught. It is fun though getting back into my photography world. I really did miss it. I feel more like my self going back to photography. It was really a pretty big part of my life before I was married. I am excited to put more time and effort into it to see where it will take me. I only have a few shots that are worth anything so I have a lot of catching up to do. I am creating a photo blog though that you can start going to, to view different kinds of Photographs of mine. I believe I will probably keep it that way and sell from a website who can do that work of printing ect.

I have officially called my photography "Dirt Roads Photography" by Camille Jones

I am starting a new blog
I am creating a photography blog and will "hopefully" sell my photography on there that people can buy canvas, poster or postcard photography of my nature scenes and to give pointers. I eventually (meaning not for a while yet) will start a business up here in Donnelly doing portraits when I am able to make enough money to buy my new camera. It is amazing when you shop around you can find amazing deals on cameras. I found my camera that I will eventually get for $300 dollars less than from your typical dealers. Good websites I found for this detail is www.ontimedigital.com and some e-bay finds. Anyway, I am excited to get to this point so I'll let you know when it is finished. Goal: by Valentines day~
The start to be more organized

I decided to make a check off list for my daily things to stay on top of all the things that need to be done. It is on a white board with permanent marker boxes so i can easily start fresh daily. I am List kind of person so if I can visually see it and check things off I feel like I can do better. I love all the ideas. If you ever think of more put it on the blog. Thank you for your comments thus far.

Sunday evening Fun!
I NEED YOUR IDEAS
In the month of February I am going to Experiment with my budget and try to cut out costs and try to be more efficient with my time. I need Ideas from you on ways of being more money and self efficient and time wise. This will be a fun way to see how good I can do and what we all can learn from this. We'll see. Things I am going to try to do are:
Use cloth diapers the entire month, except for at nights
Use my food storage and have a well planned out meal plan
Take less trips to the store and try and get it all in one big sha-bang
spend more time teaching my kids skills and schooling fun
focus on praying and reading and studying my scriptures daily
and so on. Please share some efficient ideas with me. I'll take as many as I can. I am sure we can all learn a little from this and become more aware and careful on where and what we are doing with our money and time! I am almost worried if I am going to stick to these things or not.
It is true, the less you have, the more creative you get. I hope to hear from you guys.
Thanks!

Proof of skydiving!
Mystery Canyon
Yeah, these are from a while ago but it was an incredible time and I was going through my Southern Utah experience by getting my Cd's out and organizing photos and I just had to share these. I get all giddy when I look back at them.
This is me starting into the swim in the log jam from a flash flood

My friends doing the same. The smell left something to be desired.

After the swim!

The log jam was incredible. When a flash flood comes through a slot canyon it is like a dam just broke and so much water all at once goes through the canyon and moving anything in it's path. I have seen logs nearly 50 feet up in a canyon from a flash flood. Here we were swimming with debris and really had to help each other make it through. You can't move when you are surrounded by logs ,silt, branches leaves and who knows what else.

If you zoom in i am in this picture towards the bottom of one of the few rappels in this canyon. This was the largest rappel. Somewhere around 220 feet down. You hook yourself up at the top and you then walk across the cliff edge to align your self just right before the descent. That was probably more scary than the rappel itself.

Here is the end of the canyon where it drops in to the "Narrows" in Zion National park.

Yeah! Wet soccer shorts is not that attractive and I had a whole lot of people below me taking shots of it. That was fun to rappel down a waterfall though. :)

Taking a break from everyday life to "Enjoy Life"
"Gideon is so cute" after swimming at Gold Fork Hot springs. Nice pants ;)
Bridger is so cute!
Daddy and his boys
We love Daddy!
A simple kiss makes everything better
Mommy and her boys
It was so fun to go and do this. We live up here and finally made it to the hot springs for the first time. It was a nice shift to the everyday. Gideon loved every minute of it playing with his cousins and the balls that were in the pool. Bridger followed the ball around with his face and body movements as it hopped across the pool. They had a good time and so did we. It felt so good to hang out in the frost coated mountains and soak in the nice warm pools of Gold Fork Hot Springs.
I think going and having fun as a family means so much when the everyday life gets almost too much to bear at times. It is good to just get out and be together doing something new. I feel we all need that in our lives.

What a Beautiful Week!!!
It has been sunny and Beautiful this whole week and it has made for perfect sledding conditions. We have been out on our hill sledding every day. You all should come up and enjoy it too. Joseph and I even have been surfing on our sleds down the hill, that has got to be pretty humorous to watch. Gideon is becoming a pro at snow shoeing. It is so cute to see him walk with those on. He loves sledding and would like to be out there all day till the sun went down. Life is good in the winter when you have snow and the sun is shinning! :)

Sunday Fun
We are home sick today from church so we created a picture, (Gideon and I) and made a story with it. Enjoy!

Once upon a time there lived a family of two little boys named Gideon and Bridger and a Mommy and a Daddy who loved each other very much. They thought they lived in the most beautiful place God had created.

There house had a wrap around porch and was so fun to play on. They loved there Garden and worked hard in it to get there food for winter. They planted corn, beans, potatoes, tomatoes and Lot's of other yummy food.

They worked hard on their little farm and harvested their own gold from the stream and had a beautiful windmill that would pump water up from the ground.

They loved playing in the stream next to their home and also fished and found beautiful rocks in it too.

At the end of the day they loved to sit on their front porch and watch their horses eat the grass in the pasture and witness the beautiful sun set fading into the blue sky that turned darker by the minute. Life was good and they were happy.
The End!

Happy New Year to Everyone!

Gideon and mommy at Ice world

Christmas Dinner

Homemade Apple Pie I made

The Christmas elves came and dropped off new Christmas Pajamas

Our cute Gingerbread house we decorated on Christmas Day

The gingerbread monster going in for a bite
Aren't the Holidays the Best! Gideon, Bridger, Mom and Dad enjoyed a wonderful Christmas together and had a lot of fun. Christmas Eve we had a yummy dinner of steak, green beans, baked potatoes with seasoning, fruit salad and Apple Pie and Ice Cream and a fancy Cherry cola from the bottle. Santa's elves left new PJ's on the front porch and rang the doorbell. That sort of worked. The nativity story from the bible was next followed by a bath and into their new PJ's and ready for Joseph to read the "night before Christmas" story infront of the fire with all the lights off. That was fun. Then it was off to bed and Joseph and I watched a movie.
Christmas morning was good. Gideon got really excited to see a kitchen and a lego set to play with. (Thank you friends and family) I got both free because their kids were done with the toys. I love stockings! That is one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning. It was fun to see Bridger get excited about a picture book I made him of family and he loved a lil' giraff stuffed animal that He chewed on for most of the morning. We had crepes for breakfast and then out to play with our new Snow shoes. We played in the snow, decorated a gingerbread house, and had a nice relaxed Christmas together.
The next day Joseph went to work and I went down to Meridian for the weekend to be with the Jarvis Family. We had a fun get together at Ice world with all the cousins. Joseph and I celebrated four years of marriage on Tuesday and then played with the Jarvis' at the cabin.
I love Family and all they do for us. I hope to have a great year in 2009 and hope the best for you all as well.
